  Keyword Density

Keyword density is a value that is obtained by comparing the number of times a keyword is used, in proportion with other words, on a particular page. The more times the keyword appears in relation to the total number of other words, the greater is the overall keyword density. Similarly if other words on a page are more in relation to the proportion of keywords, then the resulting keyword density is lower.

Ideally a well optimized page will have optimum number of keyword density for a set of key terms. Keyword density is important because search engines use this information to categorize a site's theme, and to determine which terms the site is relevant to. Keyword density needs to be balanced correctly on a page as too low keyword density will not give the optimal benefit, and too high will raise a flag for keyword spamming.

This tool will analyze your given URL and return keyword density values for one, two, or three keyword terms.
